What does Austria‘s research landscape need? Online questionnaire

14. June 2023
As part of the RIS Synergy project, an online questionnaire has been prepared on whether a National Research Portal in Austria could be supportive for one's activities in the field of research.
The RIS Synergy project is a BMBWF/Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research funded project under the 'Digitaleund soziale Transformation in der Hochschulbildung' 2020 call with 14 Austrian universities and four funding agencies as partners. The Angewandte is part of the consortium.

RIS Synergy is aiming to reduce the administrative burden of research projects, improve data quality through better exchange of research data and metadata between research institutions and funding bodies, while ensuring data standards (see https://forschungsdaten.at/en/ris/).

In addition, RIS Synergy is preparing a concept study that will outline framework conditions and requirements for a national research portal. National research portals bundle research metadata from participating institutions so that information such as publications, research projects or experts can be offered as services. In this way, Austria could follow many European and international examples and increase the visibility of national research as well as strengthen research support and research infrastructures.

We kindly invite you to take part in the online questionnaire until 30.6.2023 for the (anonymous) survey of information, service and tool needs for a possible national research portal:
