The University of Applied Arts Vienna is looking for a
University Assistant (m/f/d, 20 hours a week, fixed-term contract until September 30, 2029) for the department of
Architectural Design 1, starting immediately.
The department is seeking a candidate with experience in architectural
practice and artistic design instruction who will actively contribute to the studio’s ongoing work, with its focus on project
development across various scales - from prototypical exploration to the development of housing projects.
Employment
requirements:
· Completed, professionally qualifying degree in architecture (Master)
· Demonstrated
experience in the guidance and development of prototypes of architectural objects, from initial conception through to technical
implementation
· Experience in the organization and curation of lecture and seminar formats in the field of architecture
· Excellent
German and English skills, both written and spoken (language of instruction: English)
Primary
responsibilities include:
· Accompanying and supporting student projects in the areas
of prototype construction and project documentation
· Developing and promoting the arts
· Organizational
and administrative tasks
· On-site presence and teamwork in Vienna
Qualifications:
· Experience
in the design guidance of housing projects, including residential typologies, interiors, and materiality
· Expertise
in gender and diversity issues
· Organisational and social skills
· Flexibility and adaptability
The
minimum monthly salary for this position is currently € 1,888.05 gross (14x per year for 20 hours per week)
and may be increased by taking into account previous work experience in accordance with the collective agreement for universities
(B1, salary scheme for scientific/artistic university staff). Depending on education and professional experience, an upgrade
and overpayment is possible.
