Orange The World. UN campaign to end violence against women

One can end violence against women!
The UN's campaign Orange the World this year focuses on men's responsibility. To a large extent, it is up to them to ensure a life free of violence for girls and women and to prevent violence against women or prevent it from happening in the first place. Part of the Orange the World 2022 campaign, therefore, is men taking a stand and publicly speaking out and calling for a stop to physical, psychological and sexual violence against women.
 
Gerald Bast and Bernhard Kernegger, Rector and Vice-Rector, are speaking out in video contributions as part of the campaign and are also pointing out the responsibility of educational institutions in this context.

Get active yourself!
In entrance hall of Angewandte at Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz 2, there will be an information table with campaign materials to take away (badges, flyers, etc.) as of Friday, November 25, 10 am – as long as supplies last! And/or simply make your own mark by using the color orange!

WOMAN LIFE FREEDOM
In these days, the issue of Stop Violence Against Women cannot be discussed without - once again - expressing full solidarity with the women and all the people supporting them in Iran. Woman Life Freedom is for all women worldwide, especially the fearless and courageous women in Iran.

Students and teachers from the Department of Applied Photography and Time-Based Media have selected a number of designs from a series of open-source artworks by Iranian artists. These were produced as posters and put up on billboards. A selection of the posters will be available for free withdrawal at today's protest on Thursday 24.11. 2022 in front of the main entrance.
